Tufting initiation: tuft your first piece! - 4 a.m.

Beginner Level — Course limited to 5 people

Location: The Loft Collective, Saint-Sauveur

During this introductory tufting course, you will learn how to tuft either a carpet or wall decoration . Here are the formats offered :

- round of maximum 20in / 50cm in diameter

- a square maximum 40x40cm / 16x16in

- a rectangle of 40x45cm / 16x18in

What will we do for 4 hours?

- First step: discover the material

I will introduce you and explain how the tufting gun works. We will use the TN-1 with a "cut" finish. We will do many tests before starting to make your piece. Don't worry, the gun is very easy to use and you will quickly become a tufting expert!

- Second step: designing the carpet and choosing the colors

Freehand or with the help of a video projector, you can draw the design of the carpet on your canvas. If you have a design idea in mind and want to use the video projector, I will remind you to send me an email your model in PNG, PDF, JPG format a few days before the start of the course.

Some conditions for your carpet:

• Maximum 4 colors
• one of the formats proposed above

Then you will choose your colors from a wide range of balls.

- Third step: tuft your piece

It's time to get started! I'll be there to provide advice throughout the workshop.

The gluing and finishing will be done by me, you will be able to collect your piece a few weeks after the workshop at Espace Fabrik. Shipping by Canada Post is possible if you prefer , the shipping costs will be borne by you. will be charged at time of shipment.

Courses are accessible to minors aged 16 and over accompanied by an adult.

Due to small class sizes, we are unable to offer refunds for workshops. If for any reason you are unable to attend, you have the option to send someone to your place.
